Meals on Wheels-Anderson serves more than 400 residents of Anderson County by providing hot, nutritious meals each weekday and frozen meals for weekend use when requested. Our agency assists the homebound, elderly and disabled residents of our county in maintaining their health, independence, and quality of life.

Operation of the agency relies on donations received from the community. Because of our frugal operation, Meals on Wheels prepares and delivers meals at a cost of approximately $5.15 per meal. That figure includes food, salaries, utilities – all costs associated with providing each meal. The program receives no federal or state funds; therefore, Meals on Wheels depends on the generosity of the community for its survival. Ours is truly a program of “neighbors helping neighbors.”

Thank you for participating in the Hartwell Lake Poker Run. All proceeds from the event are used by Meals on Wheels to ensure that the homebound, elderly residents of Anderson County receive a hot meal and warm smile each day.
