The boat slips at the Big Water Marina dock are reserved for sponsorships of $1000 and above. Many of the spaces at the dock are already rented for the summer before the Poker Run event arrives. Knowing this, there will be other docks in the area that the boats can be tied off at and rafted out for the event, so please plan accordingly. There is also a sandy area nearby that boats can be beached on.

We will have an ATM at Big Water Marina for your convenience. Food and drink purchases will be cash only. Registration and merchandise will be available by cash or credit/debit cards.

The activities at Big Water Marina during the day and a nice day on the lake are kid friendly events, but keep in mind that alcohol will be available for consumption. Please use your best judgement.

Yes, if you preregister and receive the wrong size, we can exchange it for you at the event. We cannot guarantee size availability after preregistration.

To be in compliance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, the game will be played with the following rules:

  1. The event will begin with all registered participants leaving from the area near the dam. Boats will visit 5 designated stop locations on the lake to gather coupons. After stopping at each of the 5 locations, boats will return to Big Water Marina to see who will win the prize money. At the end of the day, the coupons collected at each stop will be exchanged for tickets to be placed in a drawing for the prize money advertised.
  2. For each ticket set purchased, registrants will be given a set of 5 tickets for the drawing. There is no limit to the number of extra ticket sets that may be purchased.
  3. Between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm boats will return to Big Water Marina to exchange their stop coupons for drawing tickets. There will be opportunities to participate in the “Poker is a Royal Flush” Olympics, including stick horse races, Hula hoop competitions and balloon tosses. Drawings will be held to award prizes donated by our event sponsors AND, vendors will be on site offering delicious food for purchase.
  4. At 7:00 p.m. Saturday, tickets will be drawn and prizes of $500, $750, and $1,500 will be awarded to lucky ticket holders.

We have arrangements with several hotels in the area offering discounted rates to Poker Run participants. Some participants have also selected to stay at area campgrounds on the lake at past events. Tiger Cove Campground is one of the card stops on the Poker Run and offers camping accommodations.

Once launched, Big Water Marina will transport your trailer to a designated parking area.

If you miss the preregistration window, registrations will not be accepted online or in office, but you may register onsite beginning at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 12 or 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13. Onsite registration fees will be $100.
